Two‑factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your Lumin Sports account. You’ll need an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Authy, to generate time‑sensitive codes. After you enable 2FA you’ll receive a set of recovery codes; store them safely so you can regain access if you lose your device.
Set up 2FA in the mobile app
Open the app settings. Tap the More icon in the Lumin Sports mobile app and select Settings.
Select Two Factor Authentication. In the Settings menu, choose Two Factor Authentication to begin setup.
Follow the prompts and verify your password. The app will walk you through enabling 2FA; you may need to re‑enter your account password.
Copy the setup key or scan the QR code. The app displays a setup key and QR code. Copy the key or scan the QR code using your authenticator app.
Add Lumin to your authenticator app. In your authenticator app, add a new account using the copied key or scanned code.
Enter the six‑digit code. Your authenticator app generates a six‑digit code; enter this code into the Lumin app when prompted.
Save your recovery codes. After the code is accepted, the app displays recovery codes. Save these codes in a secure location.
Set up 2FA on the web
Log in and open settings. Sign in to your Lumin Sports account on a computer and click your profile avatar, then choose Settings.
Select Two Factor Authentication. In the settings sidebar, select the Two Factor Authentication section.
Scan the QR code or copy the setup key. A setup key and QR code will appear; either scan the code with your authenticator app or copy the key.
Add Lumin to your authenticator app. Open your authenticator app and add a new account using the key or QR code.
Enter the six‑digit code. Enter the code generated by your authenticator app into the Code field on the web page.
Save your recovery codes. Once the code is verified, the web page displays recovery codes; store them safely.
Managing recovery codes
What they are: Recovery codes are one‑time codes that can restore access to your account if you no longer have your authenticator app.
How to store them: Keep these codes somewhere safe.
When to regenerate: If you suspect your recovery codes have been compromised, disable and re‑enable 2FA to generate new codes.
