Recording and Tracking Body Composition with Skinfold Measurements

Lumin's Skinfold feature provides practitioners with the tools they need to track and compare the body composition of their athletes. Through the use of skinfold measurements, practitioners can help athletes to monitor their progress and make informed decisions about their health and performance.

Available Skinfold Sites

Lumin supports collecting the following skinfold sites:

  • Subscapular

  • Supraspinale

  • Abdomen

  • Quadricep/thigh

  • Bicep

  • Tricep

  • Calf

Getting Started

Users with Coach, Medical or Anthropometrist roles have access to the Skinfolds feature. To record a skinfold measurement navigate to Apps > Skinfolds. Click the "New" button in the top right corner of the screen to create a new test, or click "Update" to update a previous record.

To save the test click the "Submit" button at the bottom right corner of the screen. Results will automatically be updated in Lumin Athlete Tabs and dashboards.

Skinfold data can now be exported as a CSV file directly from the Skinfolds section within the platform, making it easier to analyse and share results externally.
