Scheduler Sequence Templates

Reduce manual scheduling by saving and reusing complete multi-day event plans

Written by Erica Meyer

Sequence templates work in correlation with the Scheduler by allowing you to build a reusable series of events, then insert that full sequence directly into the Scheduler calendar from a chosen start date. They are ideal for travel and game days/weeks, testing weeks, onboarding programs, return-to-play plans, and other recurring schedules.

For more information about creating and managing events in your Calendar, view the Scheduler article here.

Create a sequence template

  1. Navigate to Scheduler > Templates > Sequences.

  2. Select New, or edit the name of an existing template using the Edit button.

  3. Enter a name for your sequence template and click Create.

  4. Open the sequence editor.

If a template is no longer needed, use the Delete button to remove it from your library.

Add days and events

  1. Add the required days to your sequence.

  2. For each day, add one or more events.

  3. Configure each event as required, including:

    • Event type

    • Start time or all-day status

    • Timezone

    • Location

    • Content

    • Attendees

    • Administrators

    • Attachments

    • Availability settings

    • Notification settings

Repeat these steps until your sequence contains all required days and events.

Insert a sequence into the Scheduler calendar

Once your sequence template has been created, you can insert it into your calendar at any time. The sequence will be inserted into the calendar in consecutive days based on the amount of days created in the sequence.

Option 1: Insert from the Sequences menu

  1. Open Scheduler.

  2. Select Sequences from the calendar toolbar.

  3. Choose the sequence you want to use.

Option 2: Insert from a calendar date

  1. Open Scheduler.

  2. Right-click the date where you want the sequence to begin.

  3. Select Insert From Sequence.

  4. Choose the sequence template.

Choose a start date and review the schedule

  1. Select the start date for the sequence.

  2. Review how each sequence day maps to the calendar.

  3. Confirm the schedule is correct.

  4. Select Save.

Once the events from the sequence have been inserted into the Scheduler calendar, you may then go into each individual event to edit details where needed.

Why use sequence templates?

Sequence templates help you:

  • Quickly create recurring multi-day schedules.

  • Maintain consistency across events and programs.

  • Reduce manual data entry.

  • Reuse event settings, attendees, attachments, availability, and notifications.

  • Preview the full schedule before publishing it to the calendar.
