The Overview Dashboard

Written by James Mckechnie

How to use your Lumin Dashboard

The Lumin Dashboard gives you a quick overview of your athletes’ data in one place. Use it to monitor wellbeing, training load, compliance, health, and other key metrics.

What the dashboard shows

The dashboard brings together athlete data from the Lumin platform, including information submitted through the mobile app.

You can use it to:

  • View a snapshot of how your athletes are tracking

  • Identify changes in recovery and wellbeing

  • Start conversations based on recent trends

Interacting with the dashboard data

Each data point on the dashboard is clickable.

When you click a data point, Lumin opens a graph showing trends over time. Colour coding is personalised based on the athlete’s recent trends, helping you spot results that may need attention.

Link to Strength Programs

The Overview dashboard has a shortcut to all programs assigned to the athlete:

Configure the Overview Dashboard

Admins can customise the Overview Dashboard to control which athlete information is displayed.

Go to Settings > Dashboard and use the toggles to show or hide:

  • Latest wellness submission date

  • Sleep data

  • Wellness data

  • Load data

Add Strength and Physical Testing columns

Add Strength and Physical Testing metrics to the Overview Dashboard to quickly compare athlete performance against personal or team benchmarks.

Customise the Overview Dashboard to show key Strength and Physical Testing data for each athlete, including:

  • Session and exercise volume

  • 1RM and e1RM

  • Tag-based volume

  • Physical Testing results

  • Personal or team benchmarks

Different dashboard columns can be configured for different groups.

1. Open Dashboard settings

Go to Admin → Settings → Dashboard.

Find the Strength and Physical Testing cards.

2. Select a profile

Use the profile dropdown to configure the Default dashboard or a specific group's dashboard.

3. Add Strength metrics

In the Strength card, you can:

  • Turn on Daily, 7-Day or Weekly Session Volume.

  • Select Add Exercise to show Volume, e1RM or 1RM for an exercise.

  • Select Add Tag to show combined volume for exercises with a specific tag.

Choose the timeframe for each metric. You can also add the same exercise multiple times to compare different metrics or periods.

Add Physical Testing metrics

Select Add Test Result, then choose:

  1. The test

  2. The result metric

  3. Best result or Latest result

  4. The timeframe

5. Add a benchmark

Use the vs dropdown on a column to compare the athlete against:

  • Personal average

  • Personal best

  • Team average

  • Team best

For team benchmarks, you can also select the group used for the comparison.

For example: Countermovement Jump → Jump Height → Best result → Compared to the Team Best

6. Reorder your columns

Drag columns into your preferred order or use the arrow keys when the drag handle is focused. Remove any columns you no longer need.

Changes save automatically.

7. View the Overview Dashboard

Your configured columns appear on the Overview Dashboard.

When a benchmark is configured, you'll see the benchmark underneath the athlete's result and a percentage difference:

  • Green = above benchmark

  • Red = below benchmark

Hover over a value for more detail. If the athlete has no data for the selected period, the cell is blank.

Things to know

These columns are available on the web Overview Dashboard only and don't appear on the Athlete Summary page or mobile app.

Strength metrics are only available to users with permission to view Strength sessions.
